The area is rich of various fruits at any season inviting for long walks to look for mushrooms, chestnuts, nuts, ect. while from Spring till the end of Summer in every village there are festivals offering good local wines and specialities in terms of food that is one of the excellences found in the Emilia Romagna region.
Hystoric cities deserving to be visited like Parma, Bologna, Ferrara, Ravenna and Mantova can be reached in a few hours allowing to spend there an interesting cultural day.
